The last sunset for this holiday…
You can’t be without these when eating in Crete (but I did forget to get lemons into the shot – lemon juice with EVERYTHING!)
Sharpshooters in Crete seem to dislike road signs…
Must be from another planet…surely?
Another strange plant found in Crete…
…or maybe she is Meryl Sheep?
Join me in a cave close to the Libyan Sea in Crete. The cave was a natural echo chamber. Listen to the waves breaking and the echo as the sound of the waves bounced around inside the cave. You will also hear me tramping about in the cave. There was no sand but plenty of gravel underfoot.
Join me in a Taverna right next to the sea in Hora Sfakion, Crete. Listen to people enjoying a fine meal and you will also hear the sounds of the waves washing up on the nearby beach. What a wonderful place to enjoy Greek food.
Needs a lick of paint!
There’s never an iceberg when you need one!!!
We left Crete yesterday and return to the UK after a wonderful three weeks staying at the Vritomartis Naturist Resort.
And updated copy of yesterday’s video
Hoda was our guide today as we walked down the Imbros Gorge in Crete. A 8 kilometre hike!
Our stay in Crete at the Vritomaris Naturist Resort is coming to an end. We will miss it!
How many times in life do we have to make a yes/no decision?
A wonderful local dish which is a pancake, filled with feta cheese, with honey on top. Delicious!
I came across this little chap whilst I was wandering around the mountains in Crete today. He or she wasn’t best pleased to see me and soon scampered off. We’ve been trying to work out whether anyone owns the goats or whether they are just wild…
There is not a lot of room for error when you take the road through the mountains in Crete.
Enjoying our time in Crete at the Vritomartis Naturist Resort (growing old disgracefully).
The Pong Boat. When I first noticed the boat I thought it had PONG written on the back but, on closer inspection, it turns out it is a boat selling natural SPONGE, sea shells and so on.
Looking down from the mountains in Crete towards the southern shore of this wonderful island.
Do you eat the shark, or does the shark eat you?
The Desert is TRULY a powerful dish!
For some reason, here in our part of Crete, they like to shoot at road traffic signs. Not sure why.
Here we are in Crete and due to being obliged to finish a bottle of wine, I missed the sunset and so this is an image of what was left of the sunset with camera handheld. Lucky to get an image at all!
