Mine’s a double!
No inexpensive sandwiches here!
Join me in a Taverna right next to the sea in Hora Sfakion, Crete. Listen to people enjoying a fine meal and you will also hear the sounds of the waves washing up on the nearby beach. What a wonderful place to enjoy Greek food.
Join me at the Cornish Pastie shop at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham in the UK. The Cornish pasties were edible but not the best I have ever tasted. The NEC is generally very busy (as you’ll hear) and the food outlets do charge top dollar for their mass-produced products.
A fine establishment – closed due to the virus…
…closed of course…
Still no word from Heineken re the beer (see previous two posts).
Not two things you see together often…
Please click on the link below, close your eyes and join me at a cafe in Central Station Amsterdam. It was a warm day yesterday and the cafe was doing a roaring trade selling iced drinks (you will hear the food processors behind the counter whirring away!).
See all other soundscapes here.
The funny thing about Costa Coffee shops in the UK is the glass they serve coffee in. The glass is very top heavy and easily falls over when the tray with the glass on it is being carried. Makes no sense to me (and the coffee isn’t that wonderful either!). Sorry Costa.
Kind of reminds me of the ‘Last Supper’:
A great place to park you boat and a wonderful place to eat (free ferry from Amsterdam Central Station).
Sometimes noise (high ISO setting) gives an image a certain something.
It isn’t every day you can eat in a Pump Room.
Lucie, coincidentally, is the name of the boat we live on…
You just can’t beat spending a day in Amsterdam taking photographs and enjoying a quiet lunch in one of Amsterdam’s wonderful brown bars. The perfect day out.
The Post Horn Hotel in Monnickendam. As Dutch and as charming as a hotel in the Netherlands can get. Food excellent. Michelin star restaurant. More on TripAdvisor here.
