  4. Thanks John. Yes. Things of the past now sadly. Beautiful engineering work. I believe a lot of aircraft are really elegant (but functional) sculptures – in other words, works of art. I think that perhaps the most beautiful aircraft has to be the Spitfire (but, being British, I would day that!). We allow old aircraft to rot away. So very sad when you think about the amount of work and experience that goes into making them in the first place…

  6. Indeed, but sadly, the unbelievable engineering and the skills that provided these aircraft is not always recognised in today’s world.
