Thank you. At the time when I took the photograph I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. I was trying to ‘freeze’ the action so that wings would not be blurred (which they are). But, looking at the way the feathers have separated, I can’t help wondering if a birds wing feathers act more like a helicopters rotors and less like an aircraft’s wing and that gives them more speed and agility. I’m no expert on birds but the search for that perfect ‘frozen in space’ photographs that is absolutely in focus continues!
