I ventured forth with my new camera (4K) and, normally, I shoot on automatic (just lazy) but decided to try and freeze the action because the peak chickens just won’t still still. So, I put the camera into shutter priority mode and cranked up the aperture. The results were not quite perfect and so a little more practice needed. The chickens that drill into trees (some people call them woodpeckers) are out in force at the moment and so I might leave the camera at home and take off with my sound recording equipment to try and catch one of those chickens in action….
