  1. I took the photograph quite a while ago at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, UK. I forgot to take not of which aircraft it was but it wasn’t the Concord. I have a feeling it might have been a Comet but not sure.

  2. It’s a fascinating photo especially as I live in Farnborough and have been fascinated by the air show for years!!

  3. One of my earliest memories was being taken to the Farnborough Airshow by my father. Must have been in the late 50s. Hawker Hunters!! Since then I have developed a bit of an aircraft habit: https://info5428.myportfolio.com/aircraft – now living in Scotland and not so many aircraft to photograph but plenty of trawlers!

  4. I love the place you shared. If you don’t sell these as posters, you should! My granddad and uncle would have gone to the same shows. I can recall in the 70s and 80s sitting on the hill at the end of the runway. On one occasion as a young boy with my younger brother in a baby carrier, with mum carrying him, we trekked across the common and ended up hitching a ride in a jeep with a couple of local soldiers. We didn’t have far to go but Mum had overdone it a bit, totally misjudged how rugged that place is. I miss those adventurous days.

  5. We used to print and sell the aviation images to the RAF Museums in Hendon and Cosford. Retired now and we sold all our printing and framing equipment. But, you never known, I might get the urge to start selling the images again or even get some fresh images. But, time just seems to drift away these days and I am becoming seriously lazy!
