Well, if you’re going to have one John, you may as well have a very big blue one. The big cock was on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square in London (another from my archives). The 4th plinth was originally intended for a statue of King William IV but, as happens all the time in the UK, we ran out of available cash for a project and so the plinth was empty for around 150 years (we are slow decision makers). Now the plinth has temporary art works on display. You can see what has been on display to date here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_plinth,_Trafalgar_Square
My own feelings are (and as a fellow Radio Amateur, I am sure you will agree), we should have a huge brass morse key on the plinth. Otherwise, we should have a great big orange donkey to represent our politicians, past and, especially, present!

I’m a bit rusty. When I was doing it for a job, we were expected to be able to read Morse code at 25 words per minute. When you consider the speed of data communications today, I think 25 wpm is just a little slow!
