A very sturdy looking vessel, I wonder why the paint starting at the bow stops?

  2. Thank you Maureen. I think it has everything to the wonderfully clean and clear air we get to breath up here in the north of Scotland. I expect you have similar air down there in New Zealand.

  3. A good question. I’ll ask the skipper next time I see him. I suspect the paint on the side of the boat gets scraped away when they haul their nets in. The skipper is a fine man and he usually brings his young son with him to tend to the boat. Fishing is very much a family thing up here in Banff, MacDuff and all the other small harbours along the coast here.

The families are lucky to live the life they have, the boy will have great memories. That’s my thought too about the paint but the line between the two looks so sharp and clean in the photo.

  5. I was forgetting (and saw your earlier post), you’re in the middle of your summer. Enjoy the sunshine!!

  6. I’m back on duty this weekend. I will do some research!!!
