Must try to turn over a new one!
You just can’t beat 40 winks in the afternoon.
If you live on a boat like we do, you seldom see the bottom of your boat (the bit below the water line). We moved to our winter moorings today (a little early this year) and so the fine people at Jachthaven Hemmeland lifted Lucie (our boat) out of the water for us so we could inspect her bottom. Apart from green slime (oh yuk) and freshwater shellfish, we were pleased to see that Lucie’s paintwork is in good shape and there are no signs of rust or corrosion (every boat owner’s nightmare). Our sacrificial galvanic anodes (we have six of them on the hull below the water line) are also in good shape. In short, Lucie has a very nice bottom.
Do you ever get that feeling you’re hanging on by a thread?
A third class ride is better than a first class walk (or swim).
Time for a drink I think…..
When you go down to the woods today…..
I didn’t notice the ants when taking the photography. Not sure what they’re doing!
Not fruit at all but we were surprised when we found out what it was. Clue: found on an oak tree.
Some images from the forest coming up shortly:
Pssst…might be a moth!
What I do when I’m not messing about with cameras….
Don’t you just hate getting stuck in traffic…
Could it be a shop where they’ll explain what is going on in American today? We certainly need a similar shop in the UK because I haven’t got a clue what’s going on apart from the appalling, if not frightening, mess (AKA catastrophe) we know as Brexit. S-C-A-R-Y!
A fenced area in a public park where you can train your dog off the leash. The Dutch think of everything! Would that we were a bit quicker off the mark in the ‘always last to show up at the party’ UK!!!!
Washing machines at the petrol station. What a really good idea. I’ve never seen this before. Fill up! Wash-up!
Telephone kiosks on a railway track. No explanation for this at the moment.
Spotted in the south of the Netherlands yesterday. Take to the hills! The aliens have arrived! Gulp! No hills in the Netherlands!!! (P.S: as aliens go, pretty tasty).
Not even the heavy rain could stop this man dancing.
I saw this musician play yesterday at the Electric Family Trance Festival in the Netherlands. He’s Yoni Oshrat (AKA Ace Ventura) and, by far, he played the best music at the event. Breathtakingly good music. Listen to Ace Ventura here on Soundcloud and Facebook page here.
