The Tug
People who know me know that I used to be a ‘Tug Man’ and worked on a number of deep sea salvage tugs – a long time ago. I’ve always had a soft spot for tugs! Here’s one that has just arrived in Monnickendam.

I’m just a stinking landlubber… though we used to do inland sailboating a lot in the distant past! 🙂
Indeed and my old job, Radio Officer, has long since gone. We were replaced by satellite communications. I am officially a dinosaur!
I also love those sturdy little boats…
When I was young and good looking (obviously a very long time ago), I was on a small sea-going tug called the Welshman. Wonderful memories of being bounced around the ocean like a cork bobbing up and down on huge waves.
