Here’s the funny thing. The Netherlands is so neat, tidy and clean. The Dutch really respect their country and there is hardly any litter (unlike the UK which, I think, has turned into Europe’s rubbish tip). But, graffiti is common here in the Netherlands and I really don’t understand why. That said, some of the graffiti is most artistic. And, after a life in and around engineering, I can respect the amount of work involved in creating things like this distribution box which most people wouldn’t notice. And, in the old days, it was built to last. This evening’s rant over!

I agree. Some of the graffiti here is very clever but it all seems so un-Dutch in a country that is so neat, tidy and ordered. Spray paint is not exactly inexpensive and so the graffiti artists must be well-resourced. We have to suffer for our art!! Hope all is well in New Zealand.

Good to hear that. Will be quiet from me next week. A working trip to the UK. You can have a rest from my whack photography!

Thank you Maurueen. Now back in the UK in the middle of the run up to the UK general election. There’s a lot of noise but not much signal!!
