  1. The Photonomad

A young lady who, at a very young age, makes his money servicing just about anything. Entirely self-taught apparently. When I was a kid I was always taking things apart (seldom got them together again). I think with modern youngsters, everything is disposable and they have X-boxes and Nintendo stuff to occupy them. We need more engineers!!! And thank you for the kind comments. Trust all is well in Nevada.

Kids are overweight in the States because of those damned gaming systems. As a child, I was outside from dawn to dusk playing with friends. All is well indeed, sunny and 75 degrees today but very windy once again. I’ll take it!

Same in Europe plus the schools are selling off the sports fields for development purposes. That said, the Dutch, here in Holland, seem to have a much better grip on things. Back in the UK childhood obesity is a continuing problem. Like you, we were out from dawn until dusk. A much better way of life (and growing up) I think. It’s all health and safety these days! Or maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy!!!

  4. John

Not old and grumpy, but not happy with the way the world continues to spiral downward.

  5. The Photonomad

Indeed. The world is one hell of a mess at the moment. They say ‘cometh the hour, cometh the man.’ No sign of him (or her) yet! We need a good dose of common sense I think. We would seem to be getting very close to a tipping point.

Well said. I believe we are headed for a horrible tipping point Richard. I’ve been a believer in Christ and the Bible for decades. Scary stuff.

  7. The Photonomad

I can’t remember a time in my life when there hasn’t been war, famine or some other kind of horror in one part of the world or another. Sometimes we humans don’t acquit ourselves at all well. I think it must be because we are all tribal by nature. Thank goodness I belong to the Photographer Tribe. We’re a mild mannered lot by and large!
