The Big Lick
what a beautiful cottage
Yes. A bit sad really. Many of the villages in the Cotswolds have been taken over by people who want a second home in the country. Village life as was has pretty much gone now. During the week the villages are like ghost towns. Very strange.
Here in New Zealand we have the same thing happening. Many of the big houses along our best beaches are empty for the winter and the owners only come out here for the Summer…
I have very fond memories of my visit to Mount Maunganui many years ago now. Was on a Norwegian ship and my family came with me. My daughter was around 3 or 4. She’s now all grown up with four girls of her own (you might have seen one or two of them on the blog). Had a fabulous time in NZ. Never made it to the south island but would love to visit again one day. You’re in photography heaven!!
Hope you can make it to the South Island one day – especially Otago in autumn – spectacular!
There you are! I fiddled with the comments section in WordPress and something strange happening but you have survived! Yes. One day. New Zealand again!
WordPress comments still not working correctly. Are you okay with email? Richard
