Very disappointed that The Martian didn’t get any Oscars. A gross oversight in my view. But if there was an Oscar for having a good time during the making of a film, The Martian deserves it:

It is always interesting to see what comes up on John Nack’s site.
Zooming in photography and video has always involved using a mechanical lens but here’s something very new and interesting – a clever system involving two fixed (non-mechanical) lenses and some very clever software. This could very much alter the way we use lenses on all cameras.
